The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is now officially launched. Samsung announced it on February 25, 2026. In India phones started selling from March 11.
This time there are three phones in the lineup. The normal Samsung Galaxy S26+, and the top one Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
At first look the phones almost look the same like last year’s models. Many people may not notice the difference quickly. But actually inside there are some changes. A new processor is there. AI features were also added. The camera also improved a little.
Not a very big jump maybe. But still upgrades are there.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Price in India
The first thing most people check is price. So here it is.
| Model | Storage | Price |
| Galaxy S26 | 256GB / 512GB | ₹87,999 |
| Galaxy S26+ | 256GB / 512GB | around ₹1,09,999 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | 256GB / 512GB / 1TB | ₹1,39,999 |
One change Samsung made this year. 128GB storage option removed.
Now all models starting from 256GB storage. Actually this is not a bad decision. Because nowadays photos and videos take a lot of storage.
Samsung also launched a 512GB variant available at a price of 256GB for early buyers. If an offer is still available when buying, then it is a good deal.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Design
The design is mostly similar to previous Galaxy phones.
Flat sides are there. Flat display there. The back design is also very minimal.
But the camera design changed a little bit. Now cameras inside raised camera islands. Earlier Samsung used separate rings.
Another interesting thing is that the Ultra model became thinner this year. Thickness around 7.9mm, which is actually the thinnest Ultra till now.
Colour options include:
- Cobalt Violet
- Black
- Sky Blue
- White
Some colours are only available online.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera
Camera numbers are mostly the same for S26 and S26+.
You still get:
- 50MP main camera
- 12MP ultrawide
- 10MP telephoto
But Samsung added a few AI features which improve photos.
Example:
Super Steady with Horizontal Lock
Video recording stays level even when the phone moves.
Nightography Video
Low light videos become brighter automatically.
Photo Assist
You can type commands like remove that person behind. The phone edits photos automatically.
For the S26 Ultra, the main camera is 200MP and the aperture is wider now. Because of this it can capture more light.
This should help for night photography.
Galaxy AI Features
Samsung is focusing a lot on AI this year.
With Android 16 and One UI 8.5, several AI features were included.
Some examples:
- Now Nudge — phone suggests useful info automatically
- Now Brief — small summary of day like reminders and schedule
- Ask AI — you can ask follow-up questions
Samsung also includes Google Gemini, Bixby, and Perplexity AI inside the system.
So users get multiple AI assistants.
Battery Life
Battery capacity is different for each model.
- Galaxy S26 — 4,300mAh
- Galaxy S26+ — 4,900mAh
- Galaxy S26 Ultra — 5,000mAh
Samsung says phones can deliver around 31 hours of video playback.
The cooling system also improved. The vapor chamber spreads heat around 29% better.
Final Thoughts
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series brings few improvements compared to the previous generation.
The regular S26 and S26+ are solid flagship phones but changes are not extremely big.
The S26 Ultra brings more noticeable upgrades like improved camera and faster charging.
If someone is planning to buy a flagship Android phone in 2026, the S26 series can be a good option.
But if the current phone is still working fine, then waiting another year is also possible.
